Narayana Sequences for Cryptographic Applications
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper investigates the randomness and cryptographic properties of the Narayana series modulo p, where p is a prime number. It is shown that the period of the Narayana series modulo p is either p2+p+1 (or a divisor) or p2-1 (or a divisor). It is shown that the sequence has very good autocorrelation and crosscorrelation properties which can be used in cryptographic and key generation applications.

متن کاملDifferential Power Analysis: A Serious Threat to FPGA Security
Differential Power Analysis (DPA) implies measuring the supply current of a cipher-circuit in an attempt to uncover part of a cipher key. Cryptographic security gets compromised if the current waveforms obtained correlate with those from a hypothetical power model of the circuit. As FPGAs are becoming integral parts of embedded systems and increasingly popular for cryptographic applications and...
متن کاملNovel Encryption Schemes Based on Catalan Numbers
Applied Number theory has so many applications in cryptography. Particularly integer sequences play very important in cryptography. Earlier cryptographic algorithms were designed using the integer sequences of Fibonacci numbers and Lucas numbers. In the present paper novel cryptographic algorithms were proposed basing on integer sequences of Catalan numbers.
متن کاملTHE ENTROPIES OF THE SEQUENCES OF FUZZY SETS AND THE APPLICATIONS OF ENTROPY TO CARDIOGRAPHY
In this paper, rstly we have introduced to entropy of sequences of fuzzy sets and given sometheorems about it. Secondly, the waves P and T which appears in electrocardiograms weretransferred to fuzzy sets, by using denition of entropy for sequences of fuzzy sets, and somenumerical values were obtained for sequences of waves P and T. Thus any person can makea medical predictions for some cardiac...
متن کاملOn a Generalization of the Narayana Triangle
By studying various ways of describing the Narayana triangle, we provide a number of generalizations of this triangle and study some of their properties. In some cases, the diagonal sums of these triangles provide examples of Somos-4 sequences via their Hankel transforms.
